Ex-pat US vocalist Kent has sold more than 500,000 albums with her well-enunciated, jazz-literate, Peggy Lee-ish readings of showtunes and standards. It may not be adventurous but it's seriously classy and with Kent recently signed to Blue Note expect some new material as well as songs from the rather lovely recent album 'The Lyric' from Kent and saxophonist and husband Jim Tomlinson. First of three nights.
